Parag’s journey with RR began in 2019 when he was acquired for ₹20 lakh. His impactful performances led to a salary increase to ₹3.8 crore in 2022. In the 2024 season, Parag showcased exceptional form, amassing 573 runs in 15 matches at an average of 52.09 and a strike rate of 149.22, including four half-centuries. This stellar performance played a significant role in RR’s decision to retain him at the enhanced salary for the 2025 season.
Beyond the IPL, Parag showcased exceptional form in domestic cricket. During the 2023-24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he emerged as the highest run-scorer, amassing 510 runs at an average of 85 and a strike rate of 182.79, including seven consecutive half-centuries—a first in T20 cricket.
