In the IPL 2025 match held on March 26 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured a comfortable 8-wicket victory over the Rajasthan Royals (RR), largely due to Quinton de Kock’s outstanding unbeaten 97 off 61 balls.
Rajasthan Royals Innings:
After being put in to bat, RR managed to score 151/8 in their 20 overs. Dhruv Jurel was the top scorer with 33 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 29 runs, and captain Riyan Parag added 25. The rest of the batting lineup struggled against KKR’s disciplined bowling attack, which effectively stifled the run rate.
Kolkata Knight Riders Innings:
In response, KKR chased down the target, reaching 152/2 in 16.4 overs. Quinton de Kock led the charge with a stellar 97 not out, showcasing his prowess with the bat. His innings ensured that KKR achieved the target with ease, marking their first win of the season and handing RR their second consecutive defeat.
This victory places KKR on the points table, while RR will need to regroup and address their batting concerns in the upcoming matches.
