Kuldeep Yadav’s First-Ball Googly Dismisses Rachin Ravindra in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Final

In the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final between India and New Zealand, spinner Kuldeep Yadav made an immediate impact by dismissing the in-form Rachin Ravindra with his very first delivery. Introduced in the 11th over, Kuldeep bowled a deceptive googly that Ravindra failed to read, resulting in the ball crashing into the stumps. This crucial wicket came after Ravindra had been given two reprieves earlier in his innings, having been dropped by Mohammed Shami and Shreyas Iyer.

Kuldeep’s breakthrough was pivotal, as Ravindra had been scoring freely, amassing 37 runs off 29 balls. The dismissal not only halted New Zealand’s momentum but also set the tone for India’s bowling performance. Kuldeep continued his impressive spell by removing Kane Williamson in his next over, further tightening India’s grip on the match.
